October 20th 2025 – Indianapolis, IN.
Kenny Schmied and co-driver Anthony Geraci traveled to Indianapolis Motor Speedway over the weekend for the final two rounds of the 2025 Pirelli GT4 America season.
Kenny Schmied and Anthony Geraci capped off their 2025 Pirelli GT4 America season in spectacular fashion at Indianapolis Motor Speedway last weekend, claiming victory in the final race of the year and finishing in front of their championship rivals in both races. Despite their commanding performance, the RAFA Racing Team duo narrowly missed out on the championship by a single point, having accumulated 228 points to James Clay and Charlie Postins 229 points.
After a close battle that saw the RAFA duo finish in fourth on Saturday to Clay and Postins fifth, The title fight went right down to the wire on Sunday with an eight point deficit. Schmied and Geraci needed to win the race while hoping the championship-leading #36 BMW finished third or lower in order to secure the championship.
Once the green flag waved after three laps behind the safety car due to standing water, Schmied wasted no time charging forward on the wet and treacherous track, slicing through the field and taking the lead into the first corner. A string of fastest laps allowed him to build a solid gap, passing several pro-am cars in the process before handing over the #72 Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 to Geraci for the final stint of the season.
Rejoining the race in first place, Geraci faced intense pressure from James Clay in the #36 BMW, which had climbed to second in the opening laps of the race while chasing down Schmied.
In a tense final stint, Geraci delivered one of his strongest drives of the season, expertly defending his position to take the checkered flag and secure a hard-fought Victory in the final race of the year. Although the #36 BMW’s second-place finish was just enough to clinch the championship, Schmied and Geraci’s performance at Indianapolis and throughout the year showcased their pace, teamwork, and determination, ending the season on a high and confirming their status as title contenders with the duo finishing the season having earned eight podiums and three wins.
